The 2025 North American Taiwanese Medical Association (NATMA) Foundation Scholarship is open for eligible applicants.
Thanks to the generosity of our foundation, the NATMA scholarship competition is held each year to support the education and training of students in the medical field and those in post-degree vocational training.
The NATMA Foundation is offering a total of three (3) $ 3,000 scholarship grants to medical/dental/allied health students and residents or fellow-in-training of Taiwanese American descent to recognize their academic excellence and contributions to Taiwanese American community. When selecting scholarship recipients, NATMA looks for candidates who:
- Demonstrate academic excellence
- Show a strong interest in NATMA and its goals, including serving as potential student representatives for the organization
- Propose a clear, achievable project that will benefit NATMA and the Taiwanese/Taiwanese American community
Eligibility
- The applicants must be of Taiwanese/Taiwanese-American descent currently accepted to and/or enrolled in an accredited US healthcare-related graduate program (e.g., medical, dental, nursing) or be a postgraduate medical professional in training, such as a resident, fellow, or postdoctoral researcher within the United States. They must be in good standing.
- The applicant must be physically present in the United States when the applicant submits the application.
- The applicants must be NATMA members. If you are not yet a member, please apply through www.natma.org
- All scholarship applicants are required to propose and execute a project of their choosing that supports NATMA’s mission. Scholarship recipients will be paired with a NATMA mentor to guide them through their project.
Deliverables
- Recipients must submit an interim report and a final report on their project’s progress.
